Touch Up An Integrated Skills Course for General English: Survival

The Ministry of Education and Culture through the Directorate of Course and Institutional Development plays an important role in the organization of various English language courses and training programs. The implementation of the program aims to improve the knowledge and skills of human resources in using English both verbally and in writing. Armed with this knowledge and skills, it is expected that Indonesian human resources will continue to exist and be able to face global competition. Knowledge and skills in English are outlined in the form of the preparation of a textbook entitled Touch Up.
Various learning activities that are interesting and interactive are developed. integrated manner. This integration of language skills includes four skills: listening, speaking reading, and writing. Learning activities are designed to develop courage and high confidence so that students will be able to use English appropriately according to the situation they are facing. Besides, in the learning process, students are also allowed to get social practices so that they will experience directly in applying the knowledge and skills they have acquired. This contextual experience is a reference for students to become more competent and superior in communicating using English both oral and written. In terms of evaluation, each unit is equipped with various structured tasks in the form of exercises.
