Synopsis
Teaching Factory (TEFA) in Polije is part of the learning model by carrying out the concept of industry-based learning (products and services) through a synergy between educational institutions and industry to produce competent graduates according to market needs. The implementation of the Teaching Factory requires the absolute involvement of the industry as a relevant party to assess the quality of educational outcomes on campus. The implementation of the Teaching Factory (TEFA) must also involve the government, local governments, and stakeholders in terms of regulation, planning, implementation, as well as its evaluation.
State Polytechnic of Jember (Polije) is one of the leading vocational universities in East Java which is also responsible for educating
competent and skilled human resources, especially the development of entrepreneurship in order to support the pace of the economy and the independence of the nation. Supported by a product-based curriculum, Polije continues to develop and present TEFA as an effort to bring industry to campus.
